"Am I missing something or has the management of the Texans taken the year off? Beginning the third year now it is the same old thing. The Steelers protect Ben (Roethlisberger), the Bengals protect (Carson) Palmer, the Lions protect (Joey) Harrington. But NOBODY in Houston can protect one of the best young quarterbacks ever to play the game (David Carr)."
-- Jerry E.

Nice to see him receive a little credit and the O-Line to be again recognized as the worst in the NFL.

Isn't that just a random quote from some fan? Best to play the game? That's a bit of an overstatement.

Guy sounds like he is full of it...Not to take anything from Carr, but what has he done for this guy to call him "one of the best young quarterbacks ever to play the game."?

Yeah you are right honch, it was a fan who made the comment, now it makes sense...

Today on Rome an emailer wrote something to the effect:

J.P Losman has been benched? Lucky beastard.

Sincerely,

David Carr

I'd like to think he's one of the best young qb's in the NFL but one can't know until he can stand upright for any real length of time.

I won't be too worried until I see a poster in the stands that reads: "Save the franchise: Bench Carr"
I honestly think he needs a break at this point. A little time to reflect upon the situation. The biggest problem would be convincing Banks to get off the bench. I know I wouldn't want to get up if I were him.
