As requested by playoff year please:
Should Capers be fired along with Palmer?
Should Capers be given time with Pendry to right the wrongs?
Should Capers be fired because he's keeping the Texans from greatness?
Capers should be given until after the 2006 season to complete the "5 year plan"

Fire Capers at the end of the year if they don't show signs of improvement and make Pete Carroll an offer he can't refuse. Oh and take Matt Leinart with the 1st and sign through free agency or trade for the best LT in theleague next year. Not an attack on Carr's ability, but this kid's career is all but ruined because he seems shell shocked due to the punishment he's taken. And again, don't be so quick to jump on me about Carroll's last NFL job, Take a look at Bill Bilicik and his stint with Cleveland before he was fired and I think Chris Palmer was hired after that. Sometimes its the fit ath the chemistry. We have a great owner and you fans, us fans are 2nd to none.

I'd wait till the end of the season to fire Capers. Give him the next 14 games to try to save this sinking ship. If he is unable to match last years record then dump his butt.

I say they give him untill after the Cinncinatti game. If we play them tough untill the last second of the game, keep him untill the next game. Let him prove himself on a game by game basis. The moment we dont show improvement fire him. He's had 4 offseason to make this team competitive, if he fails now, there's no reason to keep him around.

You should have added an option for "Should Capers have been fired INSTEAD of Palmer". As it stands I have to say that I'm ready for Capers to go right now.

Forget about the "5 year plan" folks. It's all well and good that the Texans had a plan. That the team was willing to wait 5 years to reach "quality" is fine and I'd be happy to go along with that if I thought quality was coming.

I don't need to watch this 5 years though to tell you where it's going.

I say give Capers till mid season, if they're 4 & 4 then keep him, 3 & 5 go game by game, 2 & 6 or worse fire him

You should have added an option for "Should Capers have been fired INSTEAD of Palmer". As it stands I have to say that I'm ready for Capers to go right now.Well it was requested after the Palmer firing so that would have wasted poll votes IMO. That said, I understand why you wanted Capers gone and Palmer to be interim HC. Problem is that Palmer might have have limped us to an 8-8 record. After our 0-2 start that might appear to be a success since it would be 8-6 in his command. Then we might retain him as HC for 2006 and that's something I really wouldn't like to see. I think he makes the offense too complex which is why everyone on offense seems to be lost. Just my opinion though.

You're welcome playoff year please.
