Even though the Texans are my main team, as a native of the KC area I still
love the Chiefs and am looking forward to seeing Derrick Johnson with that
Arrowhead on his helmet joining his new team to go up against his teams old nemisis, the Oakland Raiders. I'm thinking there's gonna be a few Houstonians tune in to check out DJ in his NFL national TV debut ?

"Kansas City is dreaming Super Bowls again, and if you had to pick the biggest reason why, it would probably be Derrick Johnson. Sure, the Chiefs have played only one game. Derrick Johnson has played only one game. We will find out a lot more about them both tonight, in Oakland, when Randy Moss is lined up wide and fans in silver and black throw cups of beer at the Chiefs sideline."
"People always say there’s a lot of luck in football. The ball bounces funny. The Chiefs did not even have Derrick Johnson on their draft board because they were certain he would be gone by the 15th pick. When he dropped all the way to them — he wouldn’t take on blockers, you know — they were scared that maybe everyone in the league knew something they didn’t know. I understand they thought about passing on him.
They took him. Last Sunday, he changed the entire tone of the Chiefs’ defense. We’ll see how it goes tonight. We’ll see how real this thing is. But it sure looks like the Chiefs and this town got very lucky.

I hate fields that also have the baseball diamond on them. Looks so damn tacky. Totally gonna throw off my rooting for DJ tonight.

LOL! Half a quarter in and he has a fumble recovery.

Better than Irvin and "Goose".
