Bright side

Atleast it appears as though there wont be a QB wearing #8 on the Texans roster this yr.

So Fiedorowicz aka Baby Gronk will wear 87.

Su’a-Filo will wear #70, Mankins number...

Coincidence?

Trying to think of good QBs who wear or have worn '3'.

For some reason the only name I can think of that wore 3 is Jon Kitna.

Quick google gives me..

1. Daryle Lamonica
2. Bobby Hebert
3. Joey Harrington
4. Rick Mirer

I think Savage may be the best '3' to ever play the game when all is said and done :kitten:

Bronko Nagurski was the first thing that came to mind, though not a QB.

Hopefully he'll switch to 13 when Yates is cut.

Was about to extol the Pro Bowl virtues of Lamonica and Hebert....then I saw the kitten.

I think Keenum will be cut before Yates.

Yates has the first division win and a playoff win and Keenum has what? An O-fer?

Hebert made the Pro Bowl?

Lamonica was well before my time so I can't pass comment on him.

As for Wilson, meh.

In time maybe we look back at Wilson the same way we look back on Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer.

Lamonica was AWESOME.

He was called the Mad Bomber. I used to love to watch him play. So exciting.

I like Keenum.

But I think both #7 and #13 will be available soon.

Yep,

And when he got hurt a 40 something Blanda came off of the bench to pull out wins quite a few times. I used to love watching Blanda drive the Raiders down the field and kick a GW FG as the clock expired with a young Kenny Stabler as his holder.

Memories, that was before God'ell and the PR machine started screwing with the game.

Savage reminds me a little of Carson Palmer who also wears #3. Hopefully he ends up better.

I love watching clips of old Raiders games when he was the QB. I think he was so good that Al spent the next 30 years looking for the next Lamonica, and died before he could find another one.

Oh, I can't subscribe to that. George's arm was simply amazing. He could flick it 40 yards effortlessly off platform. Not a like-able guy, and thought too much of his arm in games, but man...
