I just did a 5 round draft and came up with:

1 QB TEDDY BRIDGEWATER LOUISVILLE

33 DT TIMMY JERNIGAN FLORIDA STATE

65 OT JA’WUAN JAMES TENNESSEE

97 TE C.J. FIEDOROWICZ IOWA

129 S JIMMIE WARD NORTHERN ILLINOIS

I'm not a mock draft guy but I think I got a nice haul here.

Pretty random. One I got Clowney, Jace Amaro, & Dee Ford.

Fun to fart around with, though.

Cool idea, not sure on its execution. Seems to just draft BPA for most teams. In my draft the Jets took 2 WR, 2RB, TE, QB and an OLB. Pretty unlikely me thinks.

My draft though was great.

1 QB TEDDY BRIDGEWATER, LOUISVILLE
Should develop quickly under O'Brian, so much, he starts without fear of de=Carr-dation. Athletic, smart, all about football & no circus in town.

33 TE JACE AMARO, TEXAS TECH
Big athletic target a QB's best friend, should develop chemistry with Bridgewater quickly which defenses will have to respect, backing out of the box & covering Andre as well as DeAndre.

65 OT MORGAN MOSES, VIRGINIA
Eventual LT who can solidfy right side & help better dictate line of scrimmage & protect his franchise QB.

97 OLB TREVOR REILLY, UTAH
Three down linebacker with plus length who can actually drop into coverage, rush QB's & flow to the ball in run support.

129 DE TAYLOR HART, OREGON
Poor man's Watt to bookend JJ. Perfect fit in as a 3-4 end. Good motor/football intelligence, plays hard every down, never taking plays off with surprising pass rush ability too.

161 DT DEANDRE COLEMAN, CALIFORNIA
Instant upgrade @ NT. Very good size, athletic ability in Cal's 3-4 defense who seem to produce excellent 34 DL last few years.

193 CB RICARDO ALLEN, PURDUE
Crazy value to find a CB this polished with good size who runs a 4.5 in 7th. Take the money run, excellent nickle replacement for McCain.

I keep playing with this simulator and about half the time I come up with a great draft, the other half it's only fair. This simulator reinforces the knowledge that some very good talent can be had down into the 5th and 6th rounds. It also makes me think that if we can fill at least 2 of our many needs with quality FA's then it really frees us up to concentrate on the best players at other positions without having to reach to fill them because of need. I disagree with some of their rankings of players though.

My latest:

1
QB TEDDY BRIDGEWATER
LOUISVILLE - no explanation needed.

33
DT RA’SHEDE HAGEMAN
MINNESOTA - this will probably never happen as I think he's a mid 1st round pick. If it did, instant starter/stud at DE opposite JJ.

65
OT MORGAN MOSES
VIRGINIA - fills a very important need.

97
DE JACKSON JEFFCOAT
TEXAS - plays OLB and moves Reed inside. Kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

129
CB STANLEY JEAN- BAPTISTE
NEBRASKA - I'd try him at CB but most likely moves to Safety. Very good speed, athleticism, and size.

161
DT DEANDRE COLEMAN
CALIFORNIA - quality rotational depth on the D-line or comes in when we line up in 4-3 formations.

193
TE MARCEL JENSEN
FRESNO STATE - great size but underused, nice athleticism and hands.

Do we know they are a solution? NO.

Are they coming off significant injuries? YES

Can you count on them to contribute? NO

Can you have too many good linemen? NO

That is my logic anyway.

Q's injury was very minor. They could have waited a few weeks and had him back but stashed him on IR.

Texian - I think the answer on Q is most people see him starting at LG.

Yes, most teams carry 8-9 OL on their 53 man roster and OTs usually consist of of 2 starters and 1 swing OT.

Q's injury was very minor. They could have waited a few weeks and had him back but stashed him on IR.

Texian - I think the answer on Q is most people see him starting at LG.

Do you think if Gary had that to do over again he would've done things differently?

I kinda see Q as the starting RT and drafting a stud LG like Su'a -Filo in the 3rd rd to put next to D.Brown.

I would guess there was some internal second guessing down on Kirby on that one.

He looks NFL quality to me but saw him more at LG. Either way is fine.

If he was good enough to have started at some point last year why IR him over a minor issue?

Maybe he was more of a project than people around here think. That is why I say we can't count on him.

Nope. I believe it was Kubiak's blind loyalty to sub par players that he "believed" in. Williams and Q will be starting lineman next year. I know it.

LT = D Brown/Quessenberry
LG = B Jones/Kupper
C = Myers/White
RG = Brooks/White
RT = B Williams/Quessenberry/Newton

^ This. I've been saying this for a while. I truly believe this will happen. Although I can easily see Q sliding in at one of the starting Guard positions. I also have not completely ruled out Wade Smith resigning on a very team friendly deal.

Neither injury was even a bad injury either. They were put on IR to make space for Kubiak's pets to make the final 53.

Quessenberry had a broken foot. Depending on the severity of the fracture, that we will never know, he might have been able to come back sometime during the season but it was probably best to let him heal fully and get stronger for this coming season. I look for him to be our starting LG.

Williams had micro fracture surgery on his knee. That is a significant injury especially for someone his size and I think the Texans will be lucky to ever get any significant playing time out of Williams. A RT should be high on our list of needs. I'm thinking 3rd round, or 2nd if one of the 1st round quality guys falls to us.

I liked the line much better when Wade Smith was playing well (2010~2011) & Briseil was playing well & Winston was playing well.

in 2012, when we had Ben Jones starting at RG, I thought he looked good & was capable of playing as well as Briseil ever did. I liked Brooks as well, but his bigger body & playing style, looked more like a Wade Smith replacement than anything.

I think putting Brooks next to Brown would give us a monster of a left side. Ben Jones should play on Myer's right......

But that was with our old OL philosophy, who knows what we'll do in 2014.

I can see Q & Brooks starting ahead of Jones. I wouldn't have a problem with that. But I wouldn't bank on Williams coming back to starting caliber. It would be great if he did, but we won't "know" until training camp & it's too late to do something about it then.

Very interesting. I definitely didn't bother to do any research before I spoke and just remember it being very questionable and them both (I thought) in a situation where they could return that season without too much time lost. Or maybe it was the fact that they were both "phantom" injuries days before the cut to 53.

I obviously remember incorrect if Williams got microfracture knee surgery, that's definitely pretty significant. I tried doing a google search of his health and didn't find anything. I also tried for about 6 seconds before giving up.

Regardless, if these injuries are true and those surgeries real I was very wrong and apologize for speaking too soon.

I see almost every mock has an OT. Is this because David Quessenberry and Brennan Williams have already been written off before they've had a chance to see what they can do on Texans football field?

Written off? No. As fans we do not get to see these guys working to get back on the field. Only the coaching staff knows how they are progressing and if they will be ready for a starting spot. Therefore some may feel that a top prospect will help solidify the right side which has been a concern for the past 2 seasons.

They have not been written off, but on the other side of the coin they cannot be counted on from my perspective as they have zero NFL game experience and are coming back from injuries.

LT = D Brown/Quessenberry
LG = B Jones/Kupper
C = Myers/White
RG = Brooks/White
RT = B Williams/Quessenberry/Newton

I just dont feel comfortable with 2 unproven at RT, plus the guy we all crucified last season. I think a versitile player who can play guard and tackle would be a good asset for this team. If Brennan Williams beats him out then we can have him compete for LG.

Agree with you about solidifying the right side of the OL and not being able to count on injured players to produce. This was one of Gary's greatest faults.

Ryan Harris should fill the swing OT role and should've started over Newton last yr. IMHO

I think Kubiak's biggest fault, was trusting way too much in his system & his ability to "coach up" a top offense in this league. If you look at what he did with the talent he had, I can't help but appreciate that ability. But spending almost all our draft picks on the defense & building one of the best offenses in the league with also rans...

Imagine if we'd have grabbed Ferguson & Lutui in 2006. Or Ferguson in 2006 & Grubbs or Blaylock in 2007.

2006
Ferguson, & Greg Jennings

2007
Duane Bowe/Robert Meachum, & Ben Grubbs.

We could have spent every other pick on Defense & Tight-ends from then on...... Our defense would have still been suspect, but our offense would have been much more able to keep the other team off the field & score points.

I know it's all hindsight & cherry picking the draft... but I think if he'd have spent a little on the front end for his offense, he'd have been more successful quicker.

Kubiak as QB/Head Coach telegraphed his plays, gameplan & week after week through out there physically limited signal callers. Only time he was successful was with a freakishly, athletic QB who was able to audible & make plays on his own. Other than QB position Texans had plenty of talent to be competitive. :kitten:

As far as this mock draft simulator is concerned, you know something is flawed when anyone, including myself can reap this much talent in a single draft, its just not realistic & gives people false hope (if taken to heart). :tiphat:

Yep, and I think that's the point. We wouldn't keep coming back if we weren't getting "superdrafts". Still fun, though. It does say it updates on Tuesdays. I wonder if it adjusts based on user input or has a panel of draft "experts" it pulls from?

Don't know anything about Reid.

But the rest of that draft would be great.

In my Senior Bowl Mock draft. Very smart player who flashes, relentless motor, shows good mobility. Nose tackle could also kick out (DE). Impressed scouts with strong, stout build @ weigh-in 6-2 1/8, 301, 32 5-8" arm length, 10 1/4" hands & 79 1/8 wingspan. Suggests good durability, core strength & quickness. Similar I would think to last years 6th rd. pick Chris Jones but has created more buzz.

Princeton DT Caraun Reid had a solid overall week of practice, but his standout performance in the Senior Bowl will earn him a hard look from scouts looking for an interior defender with quickness and rush skills. The 6-foot-2, 301-pound defender racked up a pair of sacks on back-to-back plays that showcased his speed, burst and hand skills. Reid defeated Baylor's Cyril Richardson using a quick arm over at the line of scrimmage to notch a sack. He followed it with a butt-and-jerk maneuver on the subsequent play that showcased his sneaky strength and power on the inside. As more teams utilize quick interior defenders on nickel and sub packages, Reid could be viewed as an enticing option based on his solid play in the game.

As GM of the Browns in the TT Mock Draft, I figured I should try my luck on the machine and see what I get. Well, unfortunately, DE and DT are two positions that the Browns are pretty solid, but those and RB tend to be very plentiful in this mock machine. So while I didn't get exactly what I wanted, I think the Browns would be happy with this draft!

4 WR SAMMY WATKINS CLEMSON

I know Josh Gordon is a badass and all, but having Watkins on the other side of him would be amazing. While this draft isn't that realistic because JFF is available at 26, you could put JFF here and put Kelvin Benjamin or Marquis Lee at 26. Anyways, nice way to start.

26 QB JOHNNY MANZIEL TEXAS A&M

JFF to Cleveland at 26? Yes please. So long Trent Richardson, and thanks for all the fish.

35 DE STEPHON TUITT NOTRE DAME

This is a luxury pick of BPA because the draft just fell this way. I think Tuitt can be a 4-3 or 3-4 DE with his skills, and will fit right in the Browns hybrid 3-4 defense. He will find a way to get to the QB, no matter where you put him, which is the kind of player HC Pettine likes. Playing next to Rubin, he will become a "***** kitty" in no time.

71 ILB SHAYNE SKOV STANFORD

The Browns need help at ILB. Skov can stop the run, or rush the passer situationally, so he will be a nice piece to have in this defense. Dqwell Jackson can remain the SILB and Skov can start as the WILB next year.

83 G CYRIL RICHARDSON BAYLOR

Shaun Luvauo is a free agent, and pretty much the Rashad Butler of the team. He needs to be upgraded, and Richardson can be the answer to that problem. He can also help keep JFF clean, so JFF can be JFF.

102 CB STANLEY JEAN- BAPTISTE NEBRASKA

Big body cornerback who can start as a nickelback and rotate in as needed. Hopefully he can be the #2 across from Joe Haden in the future, but that will take some time to develop him.

123 RB ANDRE WILLIAMS BOSTON COLLEGE

It's no secret that the Browns need help at RB. Williams is a good RB who had an impressive year at BC and set some school records. He's 6'0 225 pounds, and he's strong, stout dude. The Browns need a RB like this, and would be better off drafting a guy than blowing money on a guy like Ben Tate. Williams can be the between the tackles guy and potentially a 3-down back, but he needs to work on pass protections.

133 WR JOSH HUFF OREGON

BPA here, the Browns should drop Greg Little this offseason, which leaves them with Josh Gordon, Travis Benjamin, and ... meh. Huff adds some depth and has some experience playing in the JFF Benny Hill Offensive system after playing at Oregon with Mariota. Mariota was much more disciplined as a pocket passer, but he had some plays where he would run around for 10 seconds before throwing :) Huff has good hands, and always tries to make the catch, but often jumps unnecessarily, and ends up missing out on YAC sometimes. That's something he will need to work on, but he's a great value for a 5th.

164 S HAKEEM SMITH LOUISVILLE

I expect the Browns to retain TJ Ward, and find someone to start opposite of him. That person will likely come from free agency, but in the mean time we need depth behind those guys and Smith is a good prospect. He plays tough, hits hard and could be a good SS and special teams contributor.

195 RB JERICK MCKINNON GEORGIA SOUTHERN

More RB help. Building around JFF, the Browns are going to need some more bodies at RB. McKinnon is small, but pretty quick for his weight. He seems like he could fit the Kyle Shanahan offense.

Yeah, I learned a couple of things using this simulator:

1) Drafting for another team and looking back at who it selects for the Texans shows it's very flawed,

2) Drafting for the Browns you see how deep this draft is, which makes me want the impossible even more: trade out of 1/1 for more picks. I'm giggling at the choices Browns have down into the 5th round -- embarrassment of riches.

Something out of left field at least for my way of thinking.

Bortles is intriguing, let's give him some toys and trust the IR guys to fill the holes on OL.

On defense get a NT and then add depth and strength in the secondary where we will be playing nickel and dime 70% of the time.

Dennard is a versatile piece, ultimately I would say why not try him as ILB, worth a flyer.

I did one a couple of days ago:

1. Sammy Watkins
2. Jace Amaro
3. Morgan Moses
4. Daquan Jones
5. A.J. McCarron
6. Andre Williams

Aj, Watkins, Hopkins, Amaro, bookend tackles, options at LG...

That's going to help any QB we put back there. Cassell, Keenum, Schaub, Tj, McCown... It would also help Arian with those bookends anchoring the line & those receivers/TEs keeping LBs back & DBs deep.

Defensively, we've got issues, but we get our big guy in the middle. & the best defense is a good offense.

I like that draft but the problem with it is you have no QB if Mccarron doesn't fall to the fifth round. If A.J. Mccarron is not there in the fifth who do you take? Aaron Murray, Tajh Boyd or Logan Thomas? Anyone there will be a project and won't be starting for a few years. What would your solution be until they're ready?

I may be the only one, but I'm looking to win in 2014, if our rookie QB gives us the best chance to win, he's going to have to prove it by beating someone who has.

So why exactly do the Eagles need another ILB? They spent a 2nd on Kendricks last year, a 4th on Matthews, and have Demeco Ryans still on the roster. Are they going to let Ryans go for cap reasons?

That simulator always gave Mosley to the Eagles, and I was trying to get him for the Browns at 26 a few times. Never seems to happen :(

Yeah , he's by far BPA that far down the draft .... I guess teams (and that engine) don't really value ILB as highly as they do DE/OLB and skill positions.

Do you think any QB we draft is going to make this team anything better than mediocre next year?

Yes , there are a couple guy's in this draft that would immediately improve this team , tho the question is how much how soon.

If you are asking me if one of those QB's primes them for a deep playoff run as a rookie , the answer is easily no.

The nature & complexity of the position makes those expectations far too high. You almost have to chalk up that rookie season as a learning experience and plan / build for the 2nd year and beyond.

Talking about way off reality, this one just broke the system. Also feel Texans Bill O'Brian will address QB via free agency with ....wait for it... Matt Cassel

1) Jadeveon Clowney, DE/OLB, BPA hand down or standing up premium pass rusher

2) Morgan Moses, OT, just a man among boys, day one starter

3) Jarvis Landry, WR, taking advantage of deep underclassman class, excellent return skills

4) Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, ridiculous value I know but he was there for the taking

5) Jordan Zumwalt, ILB/OLB, breakout defensive riser with a 3rd rd. grade

6) Tre Boston, Safety, Manning/Keo replacement

7) Ryan Carrethers, NT, run plugger to develop along side free agent pick-up.... wait for it .... Terrence Cody

Hybrid 3-4

Suh-----Fairley------Ansah

Reilly-----Levy------Tulloch--------Kennard

Add in some Antonio Smith and Alan Branch in FA and you've got the making of a tough front 7. You could even put Mosely in the middle and let Ansah play the WLB pass rush role.

The Offense would be deadly.

Terrence Cody

one of the interesting choices that will inevitably arise some round in this upcoming draft to me is demonstrated in this mock. that is selecting a WR because he is BPA (very deep class because of underclassman). would you guys encourage Texans to go this route, bypassing a higher need in favor of a higher graded player? if say, a Jarvis Landry falls out of 2nd rd. & he is sitting there for Texans, would you do it?

1 QB TEDDY BRIDGEWATER - Starting QB, good to go.
33 DE KONY EALY - Bookend with Watt, would be happy with this.
65 DT WILL SUTTON - New big guy in the middle.
97 ILB YAWIN SMALLWOOD - Good talent int he 4th, especially to help our backer corp.
129 WR JOSH HUFF - Slot guy for O'Brien to scheme with.
161 S TRE BOSTON - Safety of the future, and possibly some CB play as well. Plus he went to a good school.
193 RB KAPRI BIBBS - Watched a few games of his this year and liked how he ran.

I would be satisfied with this draft. There just seemed to be better value and talent on defense in each of the rounds. I would have liked to get a OT, but that's the only thing I think I really missed.

My latest. In this mock there was never an OT that wasn't a huge reach. Filling that 1 position in FA really will help our draft.

1
QB TEDDY BRIDGEWATER
LOUISVILLE, this pick needs no explanation.

33
S CALVIN PRYOR
LOUISVILLE, better Safety play I think will equal better CB play and secondary as a whole.

65
DE JACKSON JEFFCOAT
TEXAS, this pick moves Reed to ILB. Fixes 2 positions with 1 pick.

97
DT DAQUAN JONES
PENN STATE, finally an athletic big man to stuff the middle.

129
TE C.J. FIEDOROWICZ
IOWA, another weapon for TB and good blocking.

161
DE BRENT URBAN
VIRGINIA, 3-4 DE that needs some work but his problems are easily fixed with coaching and experience.

193
ILB JAMES MORRIS
IOWA, good size and great college productivity.

Not totally sold on Pryor but other than that slot, happy with everyone else. Curious about his ability to hold up in coverage. Swearinger + Pryor might equal a bunch of blown coverages.

Yeah really .... That RT spot was piss poor last season , so bad I have often contemplated going OT in the first. This is a first round talent in the second round. Very few scenario's where I wouldn't run to the podium with this pick.

Do you consider Robinson or Matthews at 1:1?

For a long time I would have gone Matthews @ 1:1 .... mainly because I didn't like the QB's.

But ... the more I think about that flaming pile of turds that is the current QB situation , I've moved on from that.

I recall a while back McNair saying its possible for them to take a defensive player (I think that was more stating BPA than anything else) early and a QB later in the draft .... I almost bought into that idea but after a couple months evaluating the QB's (still pre combine) and the teams definite need at the position , I cant see that as being realistic.
Manziel & Bridgewater are significantly better than the field. I believe you have to take one of those two in the first (even if its after a trade down). Both of them have the potential to be "NFL Franchise QB's" who can put a team on his shoulders and will them to W's .... I cant say that about the field.
I think at best , the field will produce quality starters tho not capable of shouldering the load .... much like the guy who's quarterbacked this team for the last ~7 seasons. Guy's who you could get to the promised land with .... if everything falls just right.

For me , 1:1 comes down to Manziel & Bridgewater at this point in the process.

My draft as the Miami Dolphins GM:

19 - OT Zack Martin, Notre Dame
Protection for Ryan Tannehill. Opens up the run game.

50 - G Xavier S'ua-Filo, UCLA
See above.

81 - RB Bishop Sankey, Washington
Lamar Miller - Daniel Thomas was a meh combination. Part of that was o-line but RB help needed to shore up the run game

112 - DT DaQuan Jones, Penn State
Possible free agency loss of DTs this offseason, should help address that.

143 - ILB Lamin Barrow, LSU
Miami's linebackers sucked vs. the run, so here's a solid linebacker to shore up the run D. Should also address either this or tackle position in free agency, if tackle is addressed I would consider drafting LB in the first round and locking up the Miami run D for the next few years.

174 - CB Andre Hal, Vandy
Steal in the 6th round, IMO.

211 - TE Jordan Najvar, Baylor
Supplemental TE to Charles Clay.

If Ryan Tannehill wasn't getting sacked or pressured every other snap, Miami would actually be contending. Last season Ryan Tannehill was sacked 58 times, the most by any QB in the league. With better protection and the weapons he has, plus a rejuvenated running game, Miami will be in contention. Tannehill needs to improve his connection with Wallace, and the Dolphins will be in business.

I'm glad people are starting to take notice to zumwalt. I'm hoping the scouts focused on Barr so much they didn't notice him. I really like his game. Zumwalt and Andrew Jackson are my two hopeful later round ILB's in this draft. With Cushings injury issues I would love to get both of these guys.

Can't believe Ellis was there for Mr Irrelevant.

Had another shot at this. I tend to look for trade downs at 1:1 & 2:1 because I think the Texans should be doing this too. No good deals at 1:1 but got a decent offer at 2:1.

Round 1 Pick 1: Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina (A)
If we aren't moving down, I'm happy to take a shot with the clown.

Round 2 Pick 7 (JAX): Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State (A)
Really warming up to Carr 2.0 to get him at 2:7 was good value.

Round 3 Pick 1: Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame (B+)
At 3:1 can't deny this guy, replaces Smith.

Round 4 Pick 1: Keith McGill, CB, Utah (A)
We need help on the back end and I think McGill can cover the whole backend with his versatility.

Round 4 Pick 14 (JAX): Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State (B+)
Love this selection. We need another guy beside Cush and Jones can do it all.

Round 4 Pick 35 (COMP): Bruce Ellington, WR, South Carolina (A)
Slot receiver solved.

Round 5 Pick 1: James Hurst, OT, North Carolina (B)
May be coming off injury but throw him in with Williams and Queensberry to solve the two problem spots on the line.

Round 6 Pick 1: Devon Kennard, OLB, Southern California (B-)
Another versatile LB. I think he could play any of the 4 spots.

Round 6 Pick 5: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia (A)
Carr insurance.

Round 6 Pick 35 (COMP): Calvin Barnett, DT, Oklahoma State (B-)
Big body to rotate with Powe. Would of liked someone earlier but didn't get the chance.

Round 7 Pick 1: Gator Hoskins, FB, Marshall (C-)
Really versatile player who can play FB, HBack or TE

Round 7 Pick 41 (COMP): Cornelius Lucas, OT, Kansas State (C)
My favourite project player in the draft, unless you consider Logan Thomas a project.

If I'm being offered 2nd or 3rd round picks to move down in the 1st I'm taking them.

Round 1 Pick 8 (MINN): Khalil Mack, OLB, Buffalo (A)
Round 2 Pick 1: Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech (A-)
Round 2 Pick 6 (T.B.): Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia (B+)
Round 2 Pick 8 (MINN): Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame (B+)
Round 3 Pick 1: Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame (A)
Round 3 Pick 6 (JAX): Zach Mettenberger, QB, LSU (B)
Round 4 Pick 1: DaQuan Jones, DT, Penn State (A)
Round 4 Pick 35 (COMP): Jon Halapio, OG, Florida (A-)
Round 5 Pick 1: Jerick McKinnon, RB, Georgia Southern (B)
Round 6 Pick 1: Dri Archer, WR, Kent State (B)
Round 6 Pick 5: Ryan Carrethers, DT, Arkansas State (C)
Round 6 Pick 35 (COMP): Andrew Jackson, ILB, Western Kentucky (D+)
Round 7 Pick 1: Logan Thomas, QB, Virginia Tech (C-)
Round 7 Pick 41 (COMP): Cornelius Lucas, OT, Kansas State (C-)

1. Clowney- Best pass rusher in draft.
2. Verrett- Best CB in the draft, perfect slot CB, massive upgrade over McCain
3. Savage- BOB style QB, Big arm, good pocket awareness, smart, taught himself Pittsburgh offense, Developmental QB if you miss out think of the pick like another Montgomery pick.
4. McCullers- Big powerful 5 tech. There will be no running to the McCullers/Clowney side of the field. With Watt and McCullers with Clowney and Mercilus off of the edge the pass rush will be there and there will be many balls swatted down.
4. Marcus Martin- One of the best interior OL in the draft. Brown/Martin = converting 3rd and short. Martin will not be there in the 4th. He's very good.
5. Zumwalt- Intense active ILB/OLB that can cover the TE up the seam. Perfect compliment to Cushing. He may be there at 4-1 in the real NFL draft.
6. Sunseri- Fast instinctive S, very good reading the QB, good hands, coaches son, only reason he's available is he tore his ACL. Fully recovered. Should be good on ST's
6. Campanaro- Short but shifty and runs in the high 4.4's, Breat hands, BOB's Welker. Can PR.
6. Patchan- Big athletic OT/OG/ Fast and can get to the 2nd level. Tenacious run blocker, helped pave the way for Andre Williams big season. A favorite of mine
7. Jerick McKinnon- Former QB, smart and tested better than any RB at the combine. Fast and 225 lbs compact build. Hands impressed me at combine. McKinnon is a threat to score anytime the ball is in his hands, can KR. Needs work in pass pro but should be able to understand it being a former QB. BOB's ideal 3rd down RB. A steal, probably will go in the 4-5th rd.

I think Zumwalt is going to cost a late 3rd or early 4th at this point.

There is just so much depth in this draft I can't resist trading back to pick up more picks. Trading back with Minnesotta, picking up there next years 1 and still getting Teddy is a great outcome for me.

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 18 (NYJ): Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville (A)
Round 2 Pick 17 (NYJ): Dee Ford, DE, Auburn (A)
Round 2 Pick 19 (CHI): Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame (B-)
Round 2 Pick 32 (SEA): Jack Mewhort, OT, Ohio State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 1: Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame (A)
Round 3 Pick 6 (JAX): Pierre Desir, CB, Lindenwood (A)
Round 3 Pick 8 (MINN): Dakota Dozier, OG, Furman (A)
Round 3 Pick 14 (DAL): Yawin Smallwood, ILB, Connecticut (B)
Round 4 Pick 1: Bruce Ellington, WR, South Carolina (B+)
Round 4 Pick 4 (NYJ): Daniel McCullers, DT, Tennessee (A-)
Round 4 Pick 17 (CHI): Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor (A)
Round 4 Pick 19 (DAL): Jordan Zumwalt, ILB, UCLA (A-)
Round 4 Pick 35 (COMP): Antone Exum, CB, Virginia Tech (B+)
Round 5 Pick 1: A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama (B)
Round 5 Pick 16 (CHI): Justin Ellis, DT, Louisiana Tech (C)
Round 6 Pick 35 (COMP): Colt Lyerla, TE, Oregon (C+)
Round 7 Pick 41 (COMP): Cornelius Lucas, OT, Kansas State (C)

Your Future Picks:

FYI..... Cleveland took Zack Martin in the first, & Garoppolo with #71 which is what I think they're going to do (at least not take a QB until the 4th.)

Clowney went to the Raiders, Mack went to Atlanta at 6.

Bridgewater was the first QB taken, #8 to the Vikings, so if I were a Bridgewater fan, I wouldn't be putting too much stock into all this "Bridgewater is falling" stuff. Most likely not true.

Deone Bucannon was the first Safety off the board, #9 to Buffalo.

Tennessee took Bortles... I have no concerns about having to play Blake Bortles twice a year. In fact, I look forward to it.

Manziel went to the Cardinals at 20.

I took Mosely with our 2nd pick, but I gotta say, I didn't like it when the Raiders took Carr three picks later. I ended up with Murray in the 4th. There was a run on QBs that started at 69 (right after I took the center) that started with McCarron, then Mettenberger, & Garoppolo one after the other.

I was hoping McCarron would fall to the 4th, with all those guys still on the board. Looking back, I would take McCarron at 65.

Stork is my biggest surprise in your selections.

Can you explain that pick in regards to the player and the round?

I'm not a draftnik, I don't know the guy. He was like the third best player available according to ourlads. I wanted to shore up the OL & figured we could make him a guard.

& just in case Meyers isn't what OB is looking for.

I've wasted too much time on this thing.

My best? As the Colts I traded all their picks (including both their future picks) to Tampa for pick 1.07. Drafted the UH punter. Score negative 474. No grade, not even an F.
