He gets punished because he plays on a good team. And on a team that a lot of people don't like/are jealous of.

He is a legitimate prospect. I still have a late 1st/early 2nd round grade on him.

All his measurable traits are average, mobility, arm strength, size. he does make good decisions (normally), and is accurate enough. He is patient but since Alabama has a superior line and skill position players he can afford to be. to me there are always dudes like him in a draft. Unless he has off the chart intangibles, (leadership, work ethic), he looks like a nice back-up to generic starter.

Nothing about hating Alabama, just about smelling Kyle Orton and Kurt cousins all over him.

Does it matter? He had plenty of time to make a decision and still fell into the trap. How many times is Bridgewater in that position and he makes a good throw only for the guys on here to say "yea, but it was against Cincinnati...."

This is an indictment on McCarron. The big question on him is how does he perform under pressure because we rarely see him under pressure. Not good returns so far.

No just Alabama not showing up in a game that means nothing for them, when you have national championship expectations and one loss kills your season what is left to play for?

Will be glad when the championship brackets are in... The playing bowl games with nothing on the line sucks.

Seriously, for the posting you do on this board and don't know that 6'3 215 is pretty average for an NFL QB then I sure as hell don't expect you to understand anything about mobility and am strength. Outside the interceptions, he playing like he always does.

As captured on video, Starla gave McCarron a rubber wristband while he was at the hospital, and he told her he would wear it in the Crimson Tide's next game, the BCS national championship game against LSU.

But before that game, Starla went into cardiac arrest on Jan. 3, 2012. She wound up on life support in a medically induced coma. Her parents were told to expect the worst.

Starla's parents watched the BCS title game from their stricken daughter's bedside. They saw the yellow wristband on McCarron's arm. Starla's father called it "very special," and her mother said she whispered to her daughter: "He's wearing your bracelet."

The wristband, symbolic of Starla's struggle - and that of all young cancer victims -- for life, sparked a national curiosity followed by an outpouring of support for Team Starla. She was on her way to becoming another "little miracle."

No way does Texas beat that OU team that played tonight.

I don't think the Tide knew what was coming. Shutting down the run and forcing Bell or Knight is exactly the kind of game plan that you would want against this team, but Knight was a wild card and played superbly. You really couldn't ask for more out of the guy, he is exactly what the Sooners had been lacking all season, a QB that can scramble to extend plays, and make the defense pay on deep routes. If I were a fan of a Big 12 team, I'd be concerned about OU next year, Knight is a true Freshman.

AJ McCarron showed his true Schaub-like colors tonight. I know people are gonna bash the LT because he's a big name, but AJ had no pocket presence at all. At least 2 of the sacks could have been avoided if he had just stepped up in the pocket. He was really slow in his decision making too, sometimes taking 4-5 seconds to figure out what to do, and sometimes completely panicking on blitzes. He was a negative tonight, and it was painfully obvious he should stay in school another year. Oh wait... :)

While I'm thinking of it, does anyone else think AJ has a long wind-up for his throws? Several times I saw him dropping the ball down to about his ribcage while bring it back to throw. I haven't really studied him enough to know if that's a habit or him just being rattled tonight. It seemed kind of odd and out of place to me.
