Talked to #Texans QB coach Karl Dorrell about Case Keenum. Today will “will shed light about where do you go beyond this point.” An audition

What if Case Keenum wins & gives them a QB choice? Dorrell: “That’s the best case scenario. We’d love to put ourselves in that position”

So basically... they would love to move on from Schaub.. that's what I gathered. Read the tea leaves here, this team/players/coaches are ready to move forward... some of the fans need to be willing also.

I think there is less than 1% that Schaub is back next season even if Keenum plays poorly.

I hope Case plays we'll. I hope he takes us to a Super Bowl victory. But the truth is, or at least I feel like the truth is, that this was the year Matt Schaub was supposed to prove he can win a Super Bowl with the team they gave him.

Today is not the day to argue the merits of Matt Schaub, but I will say the same people saying he's played so bad he should not get another start in a Texans' uniform are the same people saying we shouldn't play as conservatively as we do with the defense we've got & the punter we've got.

In my heart of hearts, I hope Case blows the doors off the NFL so that it's truly a no brained. Otherwise, it's just wishful thinking. Who do you want as the back up? Schaub or Schaub lite?

I take it as it benefits the team more if all of our players step up and perform when they're called upon. The Texans are in a better situation if the coaches have a tough decision between Keenum or Schaub... rather than Keenum sucking and our only option is to go back to Schaub.

If it were to come down to Keenum as the permanent starter, I'd rather keep Schaub as a backup than Yates. This is of course ignoring salary cap issues. Schaub is currently paid as a starter...

I am writing this a half time. Case sure has looked good so far. He seems to have a much quicker release than Schaub. If Case wins the game for us, it will be interesting to see what Kubiak does in two weeks. By all rights he should start Case again, but I don't think it is a given. Kubes has a man crush on Schaub.

There would be a pitchfork riot outside Reliant if Case won and was benched.
