We need to crank the reality distortion field to eleven.

1) The Kansas City Game will show what the Texans are made of.

2) Statistically the Texans won the game.

3) The referees cost us the game.

4) The Texans can win out and finish 12-4.

5) It is a knee jerk reaction to think the Texans have problems.

6) Changing coaches would set the team back.

7) In Smithiak we trust.

What have I missed?

2) Statistically the Texans won the game.

Only a distorted reality if you define "statistics" by total yards and first downs. But if you define statistics to include turnovers, penalties, special teams and red zone execution percentage, then the Texans are winning the game "statistically" a lot less.

I find it interesting that through the first half when the game was still within reach we were seeing the Texans offense run the ball well and throw for mostly dink/dunk kind of stuff. One of the commentators remarked that it was good to see Schaub "letting it go". I thought to myself "What? Letting it go 6 yards on a third and 10?"

It occurred to me that if Gary Kubiak has to reign in Matt Schaub to David Carr type levels/gameplans then what in the hell are we doing?

We can still go 9-7, and make it into the playoffs... from there anything can happen.

8-8 is a non-losing record.

The rules are stacked against us. Everything we do that really works is against the rules.

I'm guessing you've missed the last half of 2012 and this season.

They are what they are. Deal with it.

What have I missed?

The last two years of winning, but you knew that, too...

Ah yes. Those were heady days. Gone already.

Hey man...we just want to make sure we're going about it the right way. Make sure our ducks are in a row. If you build it, they will come. Rome wasn't built in a day. We're on the right track. Slow n steady wins the race.

Ho hum whistle while you work. The kids gonna be all right.

Blah.

Kubiak is garbage and he needs to take his qb out of town with him.

I don't see how 9-7 will get us in the play offs. Miami, KC, & most like Tennessee will win 10 games.

This season is toast. We aren't going to any play-offs. I predicted 8-8 or 9-7 before the season.

If we keep running Schaub out there that number will drop every week.

We have 10 games left. We need to win 7 to win 9 games. That ain't happening.

I think we'll end up 7-9 or 6-10.

Where are those wins going to come from? The Jags? At this point even those aren't guaranteed. The team has quit and that is that.

Yup. Shame you missed out - it was great. Then again, you foresaw the Götterdämmerung long before anyone so you probably wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway...

They don't like bashing the team because they may not get their juice boxes and smores treats at the presser...safer to bash the fans. It's OUR FAULT. Hell, why didn't I see this sooner?

Forgot that one.

I was at the jags/Broncos game, and they played way better than the Texans have played over the last 4 games.

Does anyone think the players have quit so they can get rid of Kubiak.

I don't. Their careers are on the line too.

No, I think they are listless and rudderless at the moment and are in desperate need of inspired leadership.
