We learned Monday that pass rusher Mario Williams (http://www.nfl.com/player/mariowilliams/2495982/profile) left the team (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000223061/article/mario-williams-exits-buffalo-bills-camp-for-foot-check) on Sunday to get his foot checked out, and information has been scarce regarding the issue. We're just going to reprint the exchange between Marrone and the media because it's fascinating. (The video can be seen here (http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Doug-Marrone-Tuesday-Press-Conference/d47167e5-f0e0-4484-957f-a859a01c5413).) Let's pick up with the second question on Williams.

Evidently, the second opinion returned "no apparent serious injury."

The guy is elite when facing TEs and weak OL.

And now he'll go back to 0 sacks for 4 games.

Seriously.

The guy is a good player, great at times especially when healthy. He's much better at rushing the passer than anyone we've tried to replace him with... His main problems have been staying healthy and apparently staying focused.

A healthy and focused Mario Williams on the same line with Watt would have been glorious. But Mario will never EVER live up to his potential.

This is not true. He will live up to his potential about 2 games a year.

That is how this board is with every ex-player. Apparently we are still supposed to hate Reggie Bush and Vince Young too...

Tell me, how many teams can you list that had a prominent local business owner take out a full page AD to draft a player?

Mario is still a great 'potential' player. He's a DE version of Randy Moss in his later years. He can take over games when he wants to. He just doesn't seem to want to that often.

It's not if he want's to or not it's when he gets the right matchup. Mario can take over games when he gets the right matchup. You are giving him to much credit.
