“My knee is feeling fine and I’m going to be ready for training camp,” Newton said Friday.

Newton added that he is in talks with the Texans’ training staff about what type of brace he is going to wear on his knee come training camp. Newton added that he’s not only is he going to be ready by day one of training camp, but said, “I’ll be full speed come training camp.”

Rookie Brennan Williams told CSN that there is no way that he won’t be ready to go by training camp. Williams injured his left knee during the second day of Texans rookie camp.

I hope these guys aren't rushing things.

Derek Newton thought he was good to go for our play-off run, but was anything but. I understand wanting to say the right things & needing the coaches to believe you're doing everything you can.

But we need him 100%

That is my concern also that he might feel Harris, Williams and Q may be a threat. All athletes probably say competition pushes them to be better but it is still competition for their paycheck.
