The Green Bay Packers (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/gb/green-bay-packers) will release linebacker Desmond Bishop (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/10635/desmond-bishop) on Monday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Bishop appeared to confirm his exit from the Packers with a tweet to his followers Monday afternoon.
"So much fun, so many memories & friendships forged in Green Bay. Ups & downs, wins & losses! Even a XLV championship. Forever grateful," he wrote.

Bishop is apparently not happy with his release. Looks like he may want to get back at his old team..........next workout destination...............Minnesota.......

Still not practicing after missing all of 2012 with "a ruptured hamstring" ...?

The Minnesota Vikings spent all offseason looking for a middle linebacker, failing to land a promising option in free agency or the draft. All they needed was a little patience.

Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Desmond Bishop agreed to a one-year contract with the Vikings on Monday, a source told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. ProFootballTalk.com first reported the news.

Looks like he accepted a deal based on a 7th year vet minimum $840,000 with incentives which could bring the number to $1,350,000. Not bad.........if he does not continue to be haunted by the serious hamstring problems that essentially took him out of 2012.

Or they don't feel the need is as great as we believe it to be.

Can't believe we're going to start the season with Cush, Sharpton, & Dobbins.
