If you haven't seen the design of Minnesota's new stadium, check it out. It's going to have a clear roof. Very cool.

They used to say it was he'll with the glare on fly balls so they painted them after AstroTurf was invented. It does look good though.

He can heal your torn acl by laying hands on it. And a schit load of grueling rehab. The stadium is a cross between the Sidney opera house and a greenhouse. It looks sleek. Hopefully its roof won't collapse after a heavy snowstorm.

It won't matter. The roof will be white most of the time. It's still Minnesota in the winter.

The front looks like they tried to make it look like the front of a Viking boat....

I belive they are attempting to account for snow on the roof.
The stadium will include seven levels with three levels of suites. Architect Trubey said the Vikings stadium is somewhat comparable to the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. “It is a living, breathing structure,” he said. The stadium will be the “window of the world,” Trubey said.

Trubey elicited laughter when the first slide he presented, showed a snow-laden roof with the message being: “Rule Number One: Get the snow off the roof.”

That's the first thing I thought of, as well.

Can you imagine that glass roof in Houston on one of those hot and muggy September days?

Would be cool to have that though, but also have an outer shell that could cover the glass.

It would be so awesome watching a game in a stadium with a glass roof while it was storming outside....

Really nice, they can grow vegetables in there in the off-season :)

Pretty gutsy considering the Vikings recent history with boats isn't exactly something to be proud of.

The drawings look very nice. I wonder what it will be like in real life in the middle of a blizzard in the winter?

That's the FIRST thing that crossed my mind.
Wonder if that's the so-called Gorilla glass...?
....or if it'll just be reeeeally thick.

If they're smart, they'll install some heat tracing to keep it warm so the snow will melt.

Yeah, should be pretty simple. Just look at the back glass in your vehicle. The space age technology has been around a few decades.
