In the offseason, I try to get some golf in.  The weather is better in the fall, but that's football time of year.  Hot weather golf is nice because usually the courses are less crowded, and I'd rather play uncomfortably hot golf than slow golf.

But what sorts of things do you do to prepare for next football season?  Here's some idears:

I was talking to someone from the Texans the other day, and they said they are in the process of working on the Bull Pen Pub, the area at the north side of Reliant Stadium, obviously behind the Bull Pen.  The Texans want the Bull Pen Pub to be an area where fans may want to meet up, and want fan suggestions on how to make it a better place. 

Do you have any ideas?  Here's a few of mine....

So, it's after the draft but before OTA's.  Sigh.  How can Texans fans occupy themselves?

I'm going to suggest to you something kinda goofy but cool at the same time....

The NFL draft is like sort of a painful Christmas--you get to unwrap the presents and see what you get, but your not allowed to open the boxes and see how cool your toys are yet. (But then lots of know-it-alls opine on how cool or uncool your stuff is).

In the first years of the Texans, they had a draft luncheon before the draft.  Which was kinda odd because it involved Charley Casserly figuring out how not to say anything of substance.  The last two years, the Texans have had the luncheon after the draft. Usually, it's great because you can hear more about the players that were chosen and what the plans are for the upcoming year.

So for thems who couldn't be there, here's some of the highlights ....
